A: Any of our mattresses with a fabric cover can be washed at 60 degrees. The PVC & mesh versions cannot be machine washed. All of our mattresses have removable covers.
Q: Hi there,I'm just wondering if you could tell me which of your mattresses would be equivalent to the Mamas and Papas ones I am looking at for my 2nd baby. We have the Riverside Cotbed and I have been choosing between the attached M&P mattresses. Having found your site though it looks like you offer better value for money and I need a second mattress for my crib as well so would prefer to order from you. Would be really grateful for your advice.

I'll try to compare best I can.......Actualy those pictures you have attached from M & P are rather deceiving due them being line drawings.
All of our fully sprung mattresses are made from:
Mattress interior - a spring unit with at least 105 individual coil springs, depth 7 cm.
Each side of the spring unit then has a layer of foam, then a layetr or polyester wadding. The whole thing is then wrapped in a cotton stockinette barrier. Then there is an optional waterproof barrier. Then the actual type of cover of the mattress in whichever fabric chosen.
This is where it gets deceiving as the quilted polyester fabric is a 3 ply fabric which is separated in the line drawings with M & P & Mothercare.
Finished mattress is approx 7.5 kilo in weight. compared to 4.5 kilos (difference is due to the quality of steel used in the springs)
